OUR
HEALTHY
BODY
PHILOSOPHY
Because we share our patients’ desires to live life fully, we are continuously enhancing the quality of care we provide for them and their families. We believe that our patients should expect the best in healthcare. That’s why our approach to musculoskeletal health incorporates the latest in evidence-based care.
Our responsive team is here to help find the quickest, most effective path to feeling good again. We work in conjunction with our patients’ other healthcare providers, engaging in excellent interprofessional communication and referrals. This allows a unified team to work on restoring health in a way that fits our patients’ lifestyles.
CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic is a science, art, and philosophy that
concerns itself with the relationship between the
nervous system and function (health) of the body.
Chiropractic is based on the scientific fact that the
nervous system controls the function of every cell,
tissue, organ and the system of the body.
MASSAGE
Although Chiropractic care is highly effective on its
own, the therapy works synergistically with massage
therapy to deliver faster, more effective results.
Massage prior to a chiropractic treatment helps
loosen stiff muscles and make them more
susceptible to manual adjustments.
MANUAL SPINE & EXTREMITY MANIPULATION
Treatment of spinal and extremity (arms and legs) joint pain and malposition through the application of direct pressure or force applied by the doctor.
SPINAL TRACTION & DISTRACTION
The use of traction devices to open the spaces between vertebrae. These techniques are helpful to relieve pressure on nerves or joints caused by discs, injury or arthritic changes.
SOFT TISSUE MANIPULATION
The use of massage type techniques to reduce areas of tension caused by scar tissue, spasm, adhesions and trigger points.
SPINE AND EXTREMITY BRACING & TAPING
The use of orthopedic braces or taping techniques to help support injured joints, muscles and ligaments.
TEMPROMANDIBULAR JOINT TREATMENT
Manipulation (manual and soft tissue) of jaw joints to reduce jaw pain, chewing discomfort, headaches, face pain, and other symptoms of jaw joint inflammation.
DEVICE ASSISTED MANIPULATION
The use of an instrument instead of the doctor’s hands to manipulate spinal and extremity joints. This is often used for fragile or sensitive patients.
ORTHOTIC FITTING
Custom fitting for shoe inserts that help correct gait problems and their effects including: foot pain, heel spurs, bunions, knee/hip pain, lower back pain.
NUTRITIONAL THERAPY
Instruction and counseling in good nutritional practices and the use of vitamins and natural products for optimum health.
THERAPEUTIC EXERCISES
Instruction in stretching and exercise techniques to address specific injuries or bio-mechanical problems in the spine or extremities.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
This is very effective for treating injuries. Techniques include slow, deep pressure that gradually deepens as the muscle relaxes. It will speed the recovery process, eliminate muscle tension to break the pain-spasm-pain cycle, reduce scar tissue and restore range of motion.
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
This treatment reduces muscle tension by resetting specific points in a muscle, causing it to relax. Effective for people with headaches or pain that radiates.
HOT STONE MASSAGE
Promotes deep muscle and tissue relaxation, allowing a deeper massage to be performed relieving pain.
POST SURGICAL MASSAGE
Gentle techniques release adhesions in all layers of tissue. This can help to improve range of motion, alleviate pain, decrease swelling, and speed recovery following surgery—whether post-mastectomy, after a cesarean birth or surgery to repair a joint.
PREGNANCY MASSAGE
Relief from muscle cramps, spasms, and myofascial pain, especially in the lower back, neck, hips, and legs that may be caused by muscle tension and shifts in posture.
PASSIVE STRETCHING
Helps to decrease pain and spasm in muscles. It will also increase your range of motion and manipulate the muscle in an alternative way to traditional massage.
SPORTS MASSAGE
Used to help athletes prepare for and recover from events and competitions. The primary focus of therapeutic sports massage for athletes is the musculoskeletal and myofascial elements of the body. Benefits of sports massage include; improved range of motion, improved general tissue flexibility and muscle relaxation, reduction in cramps and spasm and reduction of adhesions.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Provides pressure into myofascial restrictions to decrease and eliminate pain and restore and increase range of motion. It’s effective complex chronic pain.
